The year 1947 marked the end of British Raj in South Asia and the formation of modern India, Pakistan and (since 1971) Bangladesh, via the Partition of Punjab and Bengal, a globally disruptive event that created one of the largest mass refugee crises of the last century.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022Together we have ensured this history won&#8217;t be forgotten by recording over&nbsp;10,200 witness oral histories&nbsp;from&nbsp;14 countries&nbsp;in over&nbsp;36 languages&nbsp;and dialects, including digital copies of antiquated photographs, documents and images of personal objects of historical value, gathered from personal collections.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022Learn more by visiting the&nbsp;Mission &amp;
